Whole Body Birth Logo
Whole Body Birth is a Seattle-based small business run by Tori Stelter, a licensed birth doula and LMT with a specialty in prenatal and infant massage. Tori reached out to me to create a logo that would convey the services their business provides as well as the environment they try to cultivate for their clients.
The final version of the Whole Body logo
The initial concept sketches for the Whole Body Birth logo. Originally, Tori wanted the logo to have multiple figures within it to indicate a family.
Some more concept sketches. The presence of hands in the logo was also an important feature, in order to indicate both Tori's expertise in massage therapy and the support they would provide for their clients.
Some more refined concept sketches for the logo. It was decided that featuring a baby in the logo rather than multiple figures would allow for more detail and would be a better match for a doula business.
This was the first colored, digital iteration of the logo. Tori liked the idea of it, but wanted the logo to be more detailed.
This logo was almost right, but Tori wanted the lines to be heavier and to have only one hand with the thumb facing out, to make it look as though one person was cradling the baby.
