Bellingham Type Specimen
For this typography assignment we were to create a zine for a type specimen. I chose the typeface “Cabin”, and discovered that it is actually the typeface used for all official City of Bellingham materials. I decided to play off of this by presenting the type specimen as a tourism promotion for Bellingham.
Aside from the Cabin font, I also used the official Bellingham colors as the color scheme for the zine, used an overlay of the topography of Mount Baker on some of the panels, and recreated Bellingham Bay and the outline of the city of Bellingham using type.
